The Educator is a volunteer-driven organization. We rely on the help of volunteers every day to fulfill our mission to of reaching underserved youths and women in the community. Our goal is to give you an opportunity to serve with love and compassion as you act as God’s heart to others
OUTREACHES
Serve with us as we reach out to youths in public schools through our youth clubs. Come along with us to mentor and teach. Donate school bags, shoes, school supplies, and snacks to the students. Offer free medical and eye screening during our medical outreaches. Teach creative activities like painting, drawing, drama, and dance. Through these simple acts, you show God’s love to these students.
Serve by providing remedial classes to struggling students in Math, English and sciences on Saturdays. Contact our office to find out current remedial centers
Sponsor a student or group of students to our youth camps: these camps are life changing experiences for the youths. They have an experience of a life time learning skills to help them excel in life and live a purposeful life as designed by God. See below what previous camp participants say about our youth camps.
Serve with us as we implement the flame club projects in prisons and detention centers
Get trained as a Crisis Immediate Respondents and join our registry. Offer psychological first aid to individuals in distress or victims of sexual abuse, exploitation, and intimate partner violence. As an organization, you can become a crisis response center where our crisis immediate respondents can offer a listening space to distressed persons.
Donate Items to be sold in our thrift store. Items you can donate include the following: Kitchen Utensils, Jewelries, Toys, Clothes (male, female & children), Footwear, Toiletries, Household Items, Furniture, Electronics, Games, Food Stuffs, Books, School bags, Dress Bags, etc. (New and gently used).
